Dear Prayer Partner,

Building Remodeling

For the last two months, we have been working on the first phase (the tear down phase) of remodeling our new building. We needed to remove many of the existing walls to enlarge the rooms. Since most of these were steel reinforced block walls, this ended up being a lot more difficult job than we had imagined. The initial estimate for this tear down and scrape removal was almost $30,000USD. By doing the work ourselves, we were able to save $20,000USD. As always, our coworkers, the Stanfords and Hills, have worked tirelessly to help with the remodeling.

Pray for God’s Provision

Several local builders are currently working on bids for the next phase (the rebuilding phase) of remodeling. To date, none of the bids have been financially viable. No doubt, in order to complete the work within our budget, we will need to do much of the work ourselves. Please pray that God will send us a builder who can give us a more reasonable estimate. Please pray for God to give us wisdom, strength, and added funds as we move forward with our remodeling.

We thank the Lord for churches and individuals who have already sent special offerings toward our building project. God has given us an amazing opportunity to further expand His work here in Nagaoka. Our current location has been stretched beyond its realistic limit. This new building will give us plenty of room to grow. It will make it possible for many more to come and hear about our wonderful Savior. If the Lord leads you to help us with our new building, please designate your gifts to: “Agape BBC Building Fund”.

Cindy’s Health

Thank you for praying for Cindy’s health. It was challenging, but she did complete her 21 day fast. That coupled with an ongoing strict diet has put a stop to her painful bouts of IBS. We thank the Lord for your prayers and for His healing.

Thank You

Thank you for praying for us. You continue to be a vital part of our ministry here in Japan. May the Lord richly bless and use you as you serve Him there.
