Dear Prayer Partners,
Churchwide BBQ
We were thankful for God’s blessing on our churchwide BBQ in October. There was plenty of good food and fellowship. Most who came were church members, but we also welcomed several visitors. Please pray these visitors return and discover firsthand what makes our fellowship in Christ so special.
Christmas Blessings
In December, we held several special Christmas services. Christmas is a special time here in Japan, too. Many Japanese who do not usually attend church are more open to visiting during the Christmas season. This year, we had visitors at each service, and some showed interest in the gospel. Please pray they return and trust Christ as their Savior.
Some Health Concerns
In July, Cindy was hospitalized with diverticulitis, but thankfully, she did not need surgery and is doing well for now. That same month, Mike was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. He is on medication and will need surgery in the near future. We would appreciate your prayers for our health. The Lord willing, we want to continue sharing the gospel here in Japan.
Cindy’s Parents
Cindy returned to the US on December 21 to help care for her parents. Mike will join her next week and will continue teaching his Bible college classes online from the US. Our son Jon will be covering our work at Agape while we are away. We appreciate your prayers for our family during this time.
